The planning kit will be a printable version of work the site already does. If you are planning a layout today, these are the pages that do the job, and none of them costs anything.

• The complete shopping list, which is every item from every build in one place, grouped so you can work through it in phases.
• The reference charts, which are the tables worth printing and pinning above a workbench.

What the kit will add

Printable worksheets you fill in for your own layout: a space survey, a radius and equipment check, a grade and clearance worksheet, a turnout and ladder planner, a wiring and power budget sheet, a car weight log for the roster, and a phased purchase plan. In other words, the calculators in a form you can take to the workbench and write on, plus the record-keeping the site cannot do for you.
